“I believe the Body’s Wisdom guides us through our life’s journey.”

"The fascial restrictions in our body are both the lock and the key. The key to our greatness, our authenticity and our potential. The more you become familiar with how to unlock these restrictions, the more purposeful of a life you will lead."

Renie Allen owner of StillPoint MFR Cumberland Maine

My name is Renie Allen, founder of StillPoint Myofascial Release and expert-level practitioner in the John F. Barnes approach to Myofascial Release. When injury, pain, symptoms or emotional stress demand our attention, Myofascial Release is an incredible way to decipher the messages our body sends us. We are only given one body—we should get to know and understand its language intimately.
My own journey of growth and physical healing has been rooted in Myofascial Release. Our stories are intimately connected to our bodies. Our Body, by way of the Fascial System, holds on to our past hurts, trauma and injuries. I have spent almost 15 years uncovering and repairing the load I chose to carry through my world by way of Myofascial Release. It is this simultaneous, interconnected journey of StillPoint MFR and myself that has led me use the Bodyand all of its sensations—to mend wounds both past and present. Through experience, I have adopted Myofascial principles as some of my most core beliefs; my worldview, physical being and life both personally and professionally have been profoundly affected. It is my privilege and life’s work to share that healing with others.

My intention is to offer you what you need to feel better in your body, by releasing the fascial restrictions that keep you off-center and away from your true self. I offer a unique therapeutic experience that helps people connect with their bodies in a way that is vital to their healing journey. I understand and appreciate the importance of finding a therapist that works for you, by working with you. People often seek this work for pain relief and ease of motion or functionand come to realize there is so much more!

I continue to study directly under John F. Barnes as a way to enhance both my personal and professional life. As I move forward through my own personal journey, I am able to share more of what I learn with you. It is an honor to connect, work together and explore the gift of Myofascial Release.

We are Surrounded by Movement,
the need and the desire.

When we are moving,
there is a sense of accomplishment,
a sense of doing,
a sense of moving forward.

When we are unable to move,
there is pain and fear.
We have become stuck.

When there is Stillness,
~Beautiful Stillness~
we are present with Ourselves.
We are open to receiving information and reorganization.
We are open to emotion and feeling.
We are aware of the thin gap between past and future.

Being able to find Stillness within the Movement,
brings fluidity, beauty and rhythm.
It creates a life of limitless potential.
