5. Assumption of Risk

I understand that therapeutic movement, stretching, myofascial release, hands-on assistance, partner activities, and use of equipment involve inherent physical risks.

These risks may include soreness, bruising, muscle strains, joint injuries, dizziness, falls, aggravation of existing conditions, and other physical or emotional responses. Serious injury may occur despite reasonable precautions.

I voluntarily choose to participate and knowingly assume the inherent risks associated with these activities and use of the premises.

6. Health, Therapeutic Consent & Emergency Care

I understand that I am responsible for participating within my physical capacity and agree to communicate relevant injuries, limitations, or concerns that may affect my safe participation.

StillPointMFR provides therapeutic myofascial release treatment, bodywork, and movement-based practices. These services do not constitute medical diagnosis or medical treatment and are not substitutes for necessary medical care. Individual results vary, and no specific outcome is guaranteed.

Hands-on contact, assisted positioning, and partner activities are voluntary. I may withdraw consent for physical contact or decline any activity at any time.

In an emergency, I authorize StillPointMFR to contact emergency services and assist in obtaining medical attention when reasonably necessary and when I am unable to communicate consent. I understand that I am responsible for associated medical expenses, subject to applicable law.

7. Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in FURTHER, I voluntarily release and hold harmless StillPointMFR, its owner, employees, contractors, assistants, volunteers, and authorized representatives (collectively, the "StillPoints") from claims arising from my participation, including claims resulting from the ordinary negligence of the StillPoints, to the fullest extent permitted by Maine law.

This release includes claims involving physical activities, equipment, hands-on instruction or assistance, partner exercises, and use of the Yurt and surrounding premises.

I understand that this agreement may limit my right to bring legal claims for injuries resulting from ordinary negligence.

This agreement does not release claims arising from gross negligence, reckless misconduct, intentional wrongdoing, or liability that cannot legally be waived.

8. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from my own negligent, reckless, or intentional conduct during FURTHER.

This provision does not require me to indemnify the Releasees for their own negligence or unlawful conduct.

9. Privacy, Photography & Materials

Participation does not constitute automatic permission to use identifiable photographs, videos, or testimonials for promotional purposes. Separate consent will be requested before promotional use.

Participants agree not to photograph, record, or publicly share identifiable information about others without permission.
