Retreat Details & Investment
May 1-7, 2026
Verdesana Retreat Center
A Week at Unwound.
Morning begins in the body.We start with gentle mobility as a way to assess, integrate, and wake up with the body. Breakfast is shared outside on the deck. Jungle air. Slow coffee. Community.
Mid-morning, we gather in El Templo by the river, our homebase for fascia-focused workshops. These sessions blend guided movement, exploration with balls and foam rollers, awareness-paced activity, and space to recognize how your body has been communicating all along.
Lunch outside. Food prepared with love. Conversation that feels different here.
Afternoons deepen the work. Patterns reveal themselves. Structure softens. Something reorganizes; not through force, but through attention.
There is spaciousness built into the day. Downtime. Snacks. Nature. Integration.
Dinner closes the day in community: cultural cuisine, impeccable atmosphere, conversation, and laughter.
And on select days…We hike. We soak in hot pools. We gather around a bonfire under open sky. We sit in ceremony with cacao, medicine music, and shared presence.
The rhythm shifts between focused fascia work and expansive experience. Structure, spaciousness, and soul. You go to bed different than you woke up.

Frequently Asked Questions:
-
UNWOUND is designed for those who are willing to prioritize their body and their inner life. This isn’t a frivolous indulgence, but a responsibility to self.
This retreat isn’t about stretching beyond your limits, financially or physically. It’s about learning to recognize them, honor them, and work intelligently within them.
Payment plans are available to support participation.
-
UNWOUND is designed for people with full lives; for those who know there is no ‘perfect’ time.
This retreat isn’t an escape from responsibility. It’s a recalibration for people who carry a lot and are willing to tend to themselves so they can continue doing so with clarity and capacity.
Stepping away requires planning, boundaries, and choice. That’s part of the work.
Those who come aren’t looking for an escape. They’re ready to engage differently with the life they already have.
-
You don’t need to be an expert in fascia or Myofascial Release to attend.
If you’ve ever been curious about your body’s deeper patterns — or if you’ve explored body-based practices like yoga, Pilates, somatic therapy, or movement work — you’ll be right at home here. This retreat is built for those who are ready to listen inward, explore sensation, and trust that their body holds more wisdom than they’ve been taught to access.
Whether you’re a practitioner, a patient, or simply a person who’s been carrying pain and wants a different way in — you belong here. -
This retreat is built around the language of the body — including pain.
If you’re carrying long-standing discomfort, this work will meet you there. That said, you’ll need to be able to get on and off the mat (sometimes multiple times a day), explore sensation through movement, and stay present with what arises.
This is not a retreat for passively receiving — it’s for those who are willing to stay engaged, even with the hard parts. -
No one’s here to perform. This isn’t a fitness retreat. But you do need a certain level of physical readiness — the ability to be on the floor for extended periods, to explore pressure and sensation, and to participate fully in your own process.
If you’ve worked with your body in yoga, Pilates, self-care, or healing movement, you’re likely a great fit.
If you’re concerned about stamina or mobility, reach out before registering — let’s feel into whether this is the right space for you. -
It’s both — but not in the way you might expect.
You’ll learn fascia-based techniques you can use long after the retreat ends — but more than that, you’ll learn how to actually feel your body’s language, unwind tension, and trust what’s rising.
It’s immersive, not performative.
It’s therapeutic, not clinical.
And it’s designed to create change — not just for your body, but in how you relate to your body moving forward. -

What makes UNWOUND unique?
UNWOUND is a space to unplug — not just from devices and distractions, but from the patterns that have kept your body locked down.
Over six days in the regenerated forests of Costa Rica, you’ll step away from demands, routines, and expectations — and into daily myofascial immersion sessions, body-focused rituals, and slow, steady sensory exploration.
Together, we move, share, and listen — not to fix each other, but to witness, to learn from, and to give permission.
We’re not here to push harder or perform better.
Rather, create the conditions where the body can do what it already knows how to do: unwind, recalibrate, and evolve.
As we release together and individually.
